🌍 NordFX: Four Sessions, Multiple Catalysts One Fed decision will not define this week. Markets face a chain of catalysts capable of rewriting the FX picture within hours. ⚡ 🇺🇸 28 October - Fed After raising rates in September, the Fed is expected to hold at 3.75%-4.00%. The real trigger is guidance. 🔥 Hawkish signal - US yields and the dollar could strengthen. 🕊️ More cautious tone - pressure on the USD could give EUR/USD and gold room to rise. 🇪🇺🇺🇸 29 October - ECB + US GDP/PCE This could be the week's biggest collision. 💥 The ECB is expected to hold its deposit rate at 2.50%, but elevated energy costs keep inflation risks alive. At almost the same time, the US releases Q3 GDP and September PCE inflation. Strong growth + sticky inflation could revive Fed tightening expectations and support the dollar. Softer numbers could quickly reverse Wednesday's USD move. 📊 🇯🇵🇺🇸 30 October - BOJ + ECI The BOJ is expected to hold at 1.25%, with markets watching closely for hints of another hike, potentially as soon as December. A hawkish message could strengthen the yen. 🇯🇵 Hours later, the US Q3 Employment Cost Index brings another inflation test. Strong wage growth could push US yields and the dollar higher again. ⚠️ Why this week is different Brent is still around $114 after briefly approaching $117, while the US 10-year yield is near 5%. Middle East tensions, energy-driven inflation risks and fragile tech sentiment mean FX moves may not follow a clean central-bank script. 🌍🛢️ 🎯 The key: trade the sequence, not just the headline. Wednesday's Fed reaction can be overturned by Thursday's GDP/PCE - and Thursday's move can be challenged again by Friday's BOJ and ECI. 👉 Trade global markets with NordFX: https://my.nordfx.com/en/regis... #NordFX #Forex #EURUSD #USDJP

📊 NordFX | Earnings Season and FX: Revenue Translation Meets the Late-October Build-Up 📅 19-23 October 2026 💵 Overseas sales. Dollar effects. Market-moving guidance. This earnings week, look beyond the profit headline. 🔔 Confirmed dates: Netflix reports on 20 October, followed by Tesla on 21 October, both after the US market close. 🌍 The FX detail to watch: A stronger dollar reduces the dollar value of foreign-currency revenue, all else equal. Compare reported growth with constant-currency growth, where available, and listen for comments on international demand, pricing and hedging. ⚡ The backdrop: Investors are weighing growth optimism against interest-rate concerns, while Middle East tensions keep energy and inflation risks in focus. 👀 Scenarios for the week: 🟢 Resilient overseas demand and upbeat guidance could support risk appetite and AUD/USD. 🔴 Weak outlooks or geopolitical escalation could boost defensive USD demand, weighing on EUR/USD and GBP/USD. 🎯 Key takeaway: Earnings influence FX through sentiment and rate expectations. Look for confirmation from Treasury yields and the dollar before chasing the first move. 🚀 Get ready with NordFX: https://my.nordfx.com/en/regis... #NordFX #Forex #EarningsSeason #USD

📏 NordFX | 0.10 Lot Is Not Always 0.10 Lot You type 0.10 into the order window. Familiar number. Familiar risk? Not necessarily. 👀 The same lot size can represent completely different exposure depending on what you trade: 💶 EURUSD – 1 lot = 100,000 EUR 🥇 XAUUSD – 1 lot = 100 oz ₿ BTCUSD – 1 lot = 1 BTC 📊 DE40 – 1 lot = 1 index unit So copying the same lot size from forex to gold, crypto or an index does not mean copying the same risk. 🔍 The difference is hidden in three numbers traders often overlook: contract size, tick size and tick value. And there are more traps. A tick is not always a pip. A tiny tick size does not necessarily mean tiny risk. And even a 0.00 tick size shown in MT5 does not mean a price move is worth nothing. Our new guide breaks it all down with practical examples and shows how to read instrument specifications, calculate the value of a price move and size positions more intelligently. 📊 👉 Before you compare lot sizes, compare what those lots actually represent. 📖 Read the full guide: https://nordfx.com/useful-arti...

📊 NordFX: When +25% Doesn't Really Mean +25% US retail sales rose 0.8% in September. But there is an important detail behind that headline: the number is seasonally adjusted. 🔍 Imagine a retailer records: 🛒 November sales: $100m 🎄 December sales: $125m Raw growth: +25%. 🚀 But December is normally much stronger because of Christmas shopping. After removing that recurring seasonal effect, our hypothetical increase might be only +0.5%. Both numbers can be correct: 🔹 NSA (unadjusted) shows what was actually recorded 🔹 SA (seasonally adjusted) helps reveal the underlying change after recurring seasonal and calendar effects are removed Why does this matter now? 🌍⚡ September US retail sales jumped 0.8%, but expensive gasoline helped drive the headline, while the closely watched retail control group increased just 0.1%. With inflation, energy shocks and geopolitical turbulence moving markets, reading beyond the headline matters more than ever. 📈📉 💡 Trader's rule: before comparing two economic numbers, check whether both are SA or both are NSA. Otherwise, you may be comparing two different things. 👉 Explore the markets with NordFX: https://my.nordfx.com/en/regis...
