"It's basically gambling." "You need $5,000 to start." "Just buy an EA and let it run." Heard one of these? They're all wrong, and 3 of them are dangerous enough to wipe out an entire account.

A few worth flagging:

• 🎲 "It's gambling" — Forex is driven by data you can actually study: rate decisions, inflation, employment. Casinos have a fixed house edge you can never beat. A trader with a real system can.
• 🤖 "An EA runs itself, no need to watch it" — Every EA is built on past market conditions. When those conditions shift, and they always do, a profitable EA can start bleeding money with zero warning.
• 💰 "It's a way to get rich quick" — Most traders who actually make it took 2-3 years to get consistent, aiming for something like 15-30% a year. Screenshots of 200% in a month usually hide either huge risk, a demo account, or a sales pitch.
• 📊 "An 80% win rate means a good system" — Not if your average loss is 5x your average win. Do the math and that "great" system can still lose money overall.
• 🚫 "Skip the stop loss, price always comes back" — Until the one time it doesn't, and that single trade wipes out weeks of gains.
