(Market Watch, Nov 25, 2020) - Shares of Apple Inc. inched 0.75% higher to $116.03 Wednesday, on what proved to be an all-around mixed trading session for the stock market, with the Nasdaq Composite Index rising 0.48% to 12,094.40 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.58% to 29,872.47.
This was the stock's second consecutive day of gains. Apple Inc. closed $21.95 short of its 52-week high ($137.98), which the company reached on Sep 2.
The stock outperformed some of its competitors Wednesday, as Microsoft Corp. rose 0.00% to $213.87, Alphabet Inc. Cl A rose 0.01% to $1,764.13, and International Business Machines Corp. fell 0.18% to $124.20.
Trading volume (76.2 million) remained 55.3 million below its 50-day average volume of 131.5 million.
